International Travel

Traveling with children requires special planning and preparation, especially when traveling abroad. There are many things parents should consider when traveling with children of any age.

Visit the CDC’s Traveling with Children page for helpful resources on travel including:

  • Safe food and water precautions, diarrhea management and insect protection
  • Prophylactic medications
  • Required vaccinations
  • Traveling while pregnant
  • Travel and breastfeeding
  • International adoptions

Travel kits should include a thermometer, Band-aids, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, diphenhydramine (Benadryl), triple anti-biotic cream, and hydrocortisone cream as well as any other medications your child is taking on a regular basis.  Make sure you bring our office number in case an emergency should arise.

Please schedule an appointment with one of our physicians to discuss the recommended vaccines and travel precautions.
